NATO Expresses Support for Türkiye

NATO has issued a statement regarding claims that Iran targeted Türkiye, condemning the alleged attempt and reaffirming solidarity with all member states, including Türkiye. NATO spokesperson Hart stated that the alliance stands united with its allies.

The development follows an announcement by the Milli Savunma Bakanlığı, which said a ballistic munition launched from Iran and detected heading toward Turkish airspace was intercepted and destroyed by NATO air and missile defense assets operating in the Eastern Mediterranean.

NATO emphasized that the security of allied nations remains a core priority for the alliance in the aftermath of the incident.
